Lionel Jones, Sr., age 79, a resident of Franklin and a native of Baldwin, LA, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 6:05 AM at Iberia Medical Center following a long illness. Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, LA, Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial at Trinity Cemetery in Baldwin, LA. Lionel is survived by; three sons; Lionel (Paula Ann) Jones, Jr., and Kim (Ethel Mae) Jones both of Baldwin, LA, and Eldridge Jones, Sr., of Franklin, LA, four daughters; Mrs. John (Gertie) Boagni, Joy Alexander, Elonda Jones and Mrs. Sirbatian (LaWanya) Charles all of Franklin, LA, three brothers; Author Jones, Sr., & Henry (Lucille) Jones both of Baldwin and Felton(Margaret) Jones, Sr of Four Corners, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
