Lou Etta "Yatta" Green

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Triumph Baptist Church 6313 Bayou Black Drive Gibson, LA, from 10:00 AM until funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow funeral services in the St. James Church Cemetery in Gibson, LA.

Memories of "Yatta," as she was known to many, will forever remain in the hearts of her three daughters, Shiphay Green and Sherina Marie Green and her fiance' Jeffery all of La Place, LA and Linda K. Ruffin and her husband, Jerry of Houma, LA; one sister, Doris Ramos and her husband, Ramiro of Gibson, LA; three brothers, Hodges Matthews, Sr. Kelvin Matthews, Sr. both of Gibson, LA and Glenn Norris Matthews an his wife Joyce of Houma, LA; one son-law, three sisters-in-law, ten grandchildren, one great grandson; two aunts, Velina M. Johnson and Doris M. Mitchell both of Gibson, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

"Yatta" was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Doretha Matthews; her husband, Roussell Green; one nephew, Andre' Matthews; her grandparents, Andrew Matthews, Sr. and Ella Cross Matthews and Alexandra Johnson and Ellen Hanzy Johnson and her God Mother, Etta Johnson Pharr.
