

Micheal James ""Nick"" Stewart, a native of Gibson and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at 1:42 a.m. Visitation will be Friday, May 31, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Houma from 5-7 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Triumph Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by: his wife, Judy Ann Stewart; his mother, Rosetta Ballard-Stewart; his godmother, Joyce Clark; his mother and father-in-law, Mary Lee and Willie Robinson, seven sons, Shermann and Michael Hall, Joseph and Willie (Kiley) Stewart, Kason (Josephine) Johnson, Darius Smith, and Jamie (Roslyn) Simmons; one daughter, Iaisha Turner; two brothers, Joseph, Jr. and Roosevelt Stewart, Sr.; six sisters, Penny Kennedy, Eartha Johnson, Rose Jones, Jeannie and Christine Stewart, and Maria (John) Ward; two goddaughters, Roxanne Bailey and April Wilson, one godson, Sylvester ""Buster"" Celestine, nine grandchildren, five sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his father, Joseph Stewart, Sr.; a sister, Vivian Young; and his godfather, Freddie Bergeron. Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
