Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home of Houma, 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, La 70360, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, 5544 N. Bayou Black Dr., Gibson, LA 70356.
Morris is survived by his daughter, Moris Hanzy Matthews and Son-in-law Dontrell Matthews; Grandson, Kavon Hanzy; Granddaughter, Desiree Robinson; Brothers, Vincent Watson, Sr.; Sisters, June M. Wallis (Lloyd Jr.), Michelle L. Forman (Charles), and Ollie Jean Johnson; 2 Sisters-in-law, Linda and Altamease Theriot; Uncle, James Matthews; Aunts, Sally Wilson and Gerina Victor; and Godfather, Hayward Sims, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his father, Morris Watson, Sr.; Mother, Virginia Matthews; Brothers, Alvin Watson Theriot; Grandfathers, Daniel Watson, Sr. and Eddie Matthews, Sr.; Grandmothers, Alice Watson Theriot and Clara Grogan Matthews; Nephew, Damon Wallis; and Niece, Angela Wallis.
