Pastor Robert ""PLUG"" McGuire, Jr., age 57, a native and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 9:50 AM at his residence. Pastor McGuire was pastor of Genesis Baptist Church, and a employee of The Terrebonne Parish School Board. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at St. Luke Baptist Church, 3755 Bayou Black Dr. Hwy 182, Houma, La., from 4:00 PM until gospel musical at 6:00 PM. Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the St. John Benelovent Cemetery in Houma, La. Pastor Robert leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Sylvia M. McGuire of Houma, La; his mother, Irene M. Holly of Houma, La; a daughter, Michelle McGuire (K-9)of Houma, La; three brothers, Frank (Anne) Sealey of Brooksville, MS., Joe B.(Lolita) Holly, Jr., of Houma, La., and Kayla Paul Holly of Houston, TX; one sister, Melanie Holly Morgan of Houma, La. Pastor Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert McGuire, Sr., his stepfather, Joe B. Holly, Sr., a niece, Meghan A. Morgan; his maternal grandparent, Alex and Matilda Myles; and his paternal grandparent, Robert McGuire and Arteal White LaGarde.
