He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Lyons Gabriel; sons, Percy Gabriel, Jr. (Lula), Kenneth Gabriel (Flora) and Benjamin Thomas, Jr. (Annette); daughters, Jewel Gabriel, Jennifer Moses (Clarence), Sherita Gabriel and Denise Thomas; twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brothers, Clyde Washington and Clarence Gabriel, Jr.; sisters, Alice Armstrong and Carol Harris; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan "Munsie" Johnson; two grandchildren; parents, Clarence Gabriel, Sr. and Bertha Champagne Gabriel Washington (Jeff); siblings, James Gabriel, Walter, Henry and Claude Washington, Emma Christopher, Margarite Walters, Louise Adams and Thelma Castle.
