Sharon Smith-Jones

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM at Jones Funeral Home 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA 70380. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Burial will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Page at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 18, 2021. 

Memories of Sharon will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Gerald Jones, Sr. of Morgan City, LA; children, David (Tierra) Smith of Lafayette, LA, Sharonda (Lantrell Ayers) Smith, Gerald Jones, Jr. and Lee Matthews Hall, IV all of Morgan City, LA; siblings, Allen (Marilyn) Hayden of New Orleans, LA, Steve Hayden of Kenner, LA, Charles Williams of Seattle, WA , and Antoine Williams of Lafayette, LA; step-siblings, Otis Williams of Bayou Vista, LA and Denise (Clayton) Nolan of Morgan City, LA; father-in-law, Gerald (Mary) Watson of Morgan City, LA; brother-in-law, Quenton Jones of Beaumont, TX; sisters-in-law, Heather Jones of Beaumont, TX and Jana Jones Hartman of Patterson, LA: god-sisters, Carla Thomas and Anita Hebert; a god child, Shantell Francois; ten grandchildren, two aunts, three uncles, nine special close friends, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Cherokee” Smith, Jr. and Doris Williams Smith; three brothers, Michael Ferrand, Charles E. Smith, and Michael Johnson; grandparents, Elouise Johnson and Charles Smith, Sr. and Otha and Sonny Williams; stepmother, Patsy Ann Williams; five aunts, and two uncles.
