Shavon Marie Short

A public walk through viewing will be conducted from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing with the recommendation of signing the registry book, viewing and exiting). A private service will be held. Shavon will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Pages at 1:00 P. M. on Saturday April 24, 2021

Memories of Shavon will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Robert Short, Jr.; four children, Ebony (Saul) Grogan, Laquita Short, Trendon Short all of Patterson, LA. and Desmond Short of Duson, LA; father, Louis Tillman of Houma, LA; one brother, Dean Maize, Sr. of Morgan City, LA; seven grandchildren, Ke'sean Francois, Kendall Francois, Sa'nyria Grogan, Saul S. Grogan, Skye Grogan, Janaisia Short, and Desiree Short; god-parents, Coach/Pastor Larry Frank, Sr. and Golden Frank of Thibodaux, LA and their son, Larry Frank, Jr.; bestfriend & sister, Kimberly Bass of Houma, LA and a host of step siblings, nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. 

Shavon was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Jean Maize; sister, Tammy Williams; maternal grandparents, Ernest Maize and Eula Pearl Maize; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Delores and Robert Short, Sr.; paternal grandparents and a host of aunts and uncles.
