Ann (Annie) Salser, age 82, was born in Louisiana to Sam (Salvatore) Valenti and Jean L. Laciura Valenti on March 4, 1937, and passed away on July 31, 2019. Ann leaves behind her loving family. She is preceeded in death by her parents Sam Valenti and Jean L. Crawford, her husband Eldon B. Salser, who she was married to for 39 years, and her sister Virginia (Ginger) Fannaly. Ann is survived by her children: Donna Tippit (Keith), Glenda Salser, James Barry Salser; Granddaughters: Julie Quimby (Tim), Jamie Orozco (Dom), Jackie Chavarria (Thomas); Great-grandchildren: Ian, Brianna, Aidan, Sarah, and Bella Quimby, Autumn and London Orozco, Hallie and Jimmy McCasland III, Felix and Gabriel Chavarria, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
As a teenager Ann moved to Houston with her mother and sister. She worked in the Record Department at Woolworth’s Department Store (downtown) until her marriage to Eldon B. Salser. Ann was a loving wife until her husband’s death in 1994. She was also a wonderful, loving daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Ann was fun loving and enjoyed spending time with everyone dear to her.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Broadway, Houston, Texas. Services will be Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 9:30 am. Interment will be Bennett Cemetery, Groveton, Texas on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 3:00 pm.
