

A.H. Brown, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Houston, TX. at the age of 66. He was born on September 25, 1946 in Lufkin, TX. to Aldon and Mary Brown. A.H. was a lifelong resident of Houston and graduated from James Madison High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S. S. Galveston. He was preceded in death by his parents Aldon Hoyt and Mary Frances (Brewer) Brown, father-in-law Clenzon S. Hickman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, Patti, his wife of 39 years, one son, Ashley Heath Brown, Christina Mata, parents of granddaughter Madison Lee Brown, mother-in –law, Ione Hickman, sister, Patricia Konetzke, brother, Clayton Brown (Linda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
A.H.’s career was in Sales in the Food brokerage business, a career that he truly enjoyed and met so many, many friends. His personality was larger than life; he never met a stranger and had a heart as big as Texas. He always had a smile on his face, a joke to tell and would do anything for anyone.
He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter who loved spending time at his deer lease in Laredo, TX. He always said it was the comrade with his fellow hunters that made it so much fun. He cherished the time he spent with Ashley and his friends at the deer lease. Of the most treasured times was as PawPaw teaching Madison the ways of the lease.
Serving as Pallbearers are Gregg Harrison, Chance Brown, Ashton Brown, Austin Brown, Mason Keller and Dalton Keller.
Viewing will be Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2-6 PM at Pat H. Foley & Co. 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. Funeral service on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10 AM in the Chapel at Pat H. Foley with the Rev. J.P. Price officiating.
Graveside services at 2:30 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells, TX.
