

Born on September 6, 1987, in Humble, Texas, Adam is the son of Manuel and Carmen Vazquez.
At 1 ½ years old, Adam was diagnosed as being intellectually and developmentally disabled along with being speech impaired. His family learned very quickly to communicate with him as he used body language or would pick an item up to show us what he wanted.
In high school, he was in a club called Best Buddies where he met an incredible lifelong friend Mike Simonetty stretching 22 years. Mike’s parents, brother and sister welcomed Adam into their family and would have many outings with them.
After High School, he attended the Village Center in Kingwood, Texas, where several of his high school classmates were also clients. As the years passed on Adam made several friends.
Adam lived a life of faith and determination where he worshipped at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church where he was a brother Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
Adam was a very sociable person even though he was unable to hold a conversation, he made it easy for himself to be understood and made numerous friends throughout his life.
Adam was in Special Olympics where he participated in Cycling, Tennis, Basketball, Table Tennis, Powerlifting, Golf and Baseball. In 1997, he was selected as a member of Team USA in the World Games where he traveled to Shanghai, China. He competed against other members of different nations in Bocce Ball and brought home a Bronze Medal.
Adam is survived by his mother Carmen Vazquez, Brother’s John Vasquez with his wife Jessica along with furry niece Maggie May, Keith Vasquez with his wife Veronica along with nephews Devin and Keith Jr., nieces Soriah and Zoe, and furry little sisters Lilo and Pebbles.
Adam is preceded in death by his father Manuel Vazquez, Maternal grandparents Bruno and Guadalupe Sanchez, Paternal grandparents Emilio & Agustina Vazquez, Uncle’s Jorge Vasquez, Theodore Sanchez, Arthur Sanchez, Pedro Sanchez, Reynaldo Sanchez, Joel Duran, Tim Martinez and Pedro Ramirez. Cousins Adelbert Sanchez, Michelle Alvarado, Isaac Sanchez, Gengee Sanchez, and Aunt Chris Pair.
Serving as pallbearers: John Vasquez, Keith Vasquez, Mike Simonetty, Mike Dial, Arthur Sanchez Jr., and Joe Vasquez.
A visitation for Adam will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A rosary will occur Friday, May 23, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside will occur Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
