Albert Dean Gosnell, 85 years of age, passed away December 23, 2014. Albert was born May 24, 1929 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Leonard and Lena Gosnell. He was the youngest of two children, and was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Lee, and son, Anthony Tad Gosnell.
Albert married his wife, Geraldyne Snider, in 1956 and they had four children. Albert was very proud of the time he served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. He worked as a certified Cummins diesel mechanic and retired from Consolidated Freightways as a long-time Teamsters member.
Albert loved to read, travel, and listen to bluegrass music. He enjoyed good food and visiting with friends and family and was a big sports fan. He played football in high school, college and the Navy. He was a hard working, loving husband and father and never met a stranger.
Albert is survived by: wife, Geraldyne; children, Vanessa Gosnell, Barry Gosnell, Theresa Copeland and husband Jesse; grandchildren Anthony Tad Gosnell Jr., Chase Copeland and Kelsie Aldmour; great-grandchildren, Conner and Savanna Copeland and Anthony Tad Gosnell III and other loving family and friends.
