Albert Darnell Moss was born on July 9, 1959, to the late Rosie Lee & Jack Moss, he was the youngest of four children. Albert was baptized at an early age while attending New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, in Castor, Louisiana and attended public school there until he relocated to Houston, Texas.
After relocating to Houston, Albert enjoyed working as a professional truck driver for many years, and in doing so, he met and married his best friend, Alesia Mikel and to this union two children were born, Carretha Michelle Moss and Albert Darnell Moss, II.
Albert loved sports particularly baseball and basketball and his joy in life was to see his grandchildren play sports and to watch them develop. Although he had health challenges, Albert did not allow physical demands to stop him from enjoying his family and to see his grandchildren mature.

Though they were no longer a married couple they still shared an “Agape” love. Once Carretha was old enough to do so, she willingly stepped in and cared for her dad for numerous years until he gained his wings on March 30th, 2023.
