Alice Inocencia Metzger

Alice Inocencia Blanco Metzger, age 75, of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022. Alice was born December 15, 1946 in Houston, Texas. She was born to Juan E. & Inocencia Blanco. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High school in 1965. She was married twice and had 2 children that gave her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her house was full of joy and happiness. She loved to travel the world going to many places with her 2nd husband Lt. Col. Paul Metzger Jr. taking a few of her grandchildren with her to London to visit the underground tunnels, Florida, Las Vegas and Brazil. She had many solo travels also to Hawaii, California, New York, and Philadelphia. Loved to dance and was the life of the party.

A very career motivated individual by starting several companies with Paul. Education was very important to her she graduated college with a Bachelors in Physiology. Assisted many individuals with achieving their US citizenship forms, classes and testing.

Towards her later years she devoted herself enjoying as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great grandchildren by continuing her path with the Lord and daily Biblical teachings.

Everyday her loved ones will remember her by the love she had for them and the teachings of the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents Juan & Inocencia Blanco, Her husband Lt Col. Paul Metzger Jr., Her sisters Mary Ruth Mejia , Rebecca Blanco, Mary S. Zepeda, Rosalie Reyes , Lillie Martha and Joe john(Infancy) . Her brother Joe Frank Blanco.

She is survived by her son Nilson A. & Wendy Dasilva of Seabrook, Tx, Her Daugther Lisa M. Avila of Houston, Tx. 9 Grandchildren Amanda Castillo ( Carlos), Melissa Herrera (Miguel), Christopher Dasilva, Stephanie Avila, Christian Avila, Jacob Dasilva, Teresa Avila, Allison Dasilva, Julia Dasilva. 4 Great Grandchildren Annabella Avila, Izabella Avila, Adrianna Avila and Jaelyn Avila. And siblings John Blanco Jr.( Sandy) , Lillie Schoffield , Maria A. Ramirez(Carlos) and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Alice will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Navigation, 2516 NAVIGATION BLVD, HOUSTON, TX 77003.
