Alice passed peacefully from this world on November 15, 2019 after a illness. Born in Brenham, Alice moved to Houston at an early age. Alice was a loving wife and mother, known for her skill at baking pecan pies. Always one to enjoy the beauty of nature, she was an avid gardener who gained pleasure from the outdoors. She retained her love of dancing throughout her life, even until the final few weeks. Friends and family alike will remember her sweet smile and kind nature that was so much a part of her being.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband Carl Ritchie, life partner Jim Templin, and son Tommy Ritchie.
She is survived by her daughter Carlene Garrick and her husband Lynn of Magnolia; grandson Chris and his wife Brenda of Cypress; granddaughter Robyn Hayes of Houston; granddaughter Shawna Yezak of Austin; grandson Daniel Ritchie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nine great grandchildren; and sister Clara Clinton of New Caney.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 10:30 am until the time of the rosary / services at 11 am followed by a luncheon at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Houston.
