Allen Wayne Andrews, 78 of Houston, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 17,2025.
He was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey on April 22, 1947.
Allen attended John Marshall High School in San Antonio, Tx. In 1965, Allen decided to serve his country by joining the U.S. Army specializing in Morse Intelligence. Allen’s duty stations included Fort Hood, Texas and one tour in Vietnam. His military awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze service stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, and the Army Good Conduct Medal.
He was married to Jacqueline Andrews for 51 years.
Allen’s career included the oilfield, sales positions for Montalbano Lumber, and purchasing agent with Bison.
Allen’s interests were watching baseball, pro and college football and spending time with his family and dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Andrews, his daughter Andrea Reyes, Son-in-law Eddie Reyes, his sister Sandra and two brothers Bruce and Stephen.
Funeral arrangements will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home. The viewing will take place on August 26th from 4-8pm. Services will be held at the same location on August 27th from 9:30 – 10:30 am followed by the burial at 10:45 am.
