I’m really missing you hard my friend. I know I should have told you this more often while you were here, and I’m sorry for letting you down, and allowing time to pass. I just know wherever you are, you’re needed there more than you’re needed here. I love you, beautiful lady.

“If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we’re apart.. I’ll always be with you.”
Winnie the Pooh (A.A. Milne)

I first met Amanda when she was in the Langham Creek high school marching band with my daughter Christi. I chaperoned the football games and competitions and got to know Amanda riding on the bus with her. One of our first meetings involved a bag of chips she had "aquired" from another band member. She was playing a joke and I told her she should hide them in his jacket she had borrowed. I think from that point forward I was the "cool" chaperon because she gave me the nickname "Chips". Amanda and I had many in depth conversations while riding those buses and I learned a lot about the type of person she was. Amanda always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. Even when others were not kind to her she would take the high road and not speak ill of those people. She was a free spirit who had hopes and dreams for her future. Amanda taught me many things about life through the eyes of a beautiful young spirit. I am grateful for knowing you Amanda and I know we will meet again. Until then, peace be with you sweet girl
Love,
Mrs K "Chips"
