Andres Alva Jr.

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the family of Andres Alva Jr announces his passing on November 16, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on February 1, 1979, in Houston, Texas, Andres grew into a man whose warmth, loyalty, and unwavering love left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Andres was the devoted husband of Erica Garcia, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. Over a span of 28 years their bond would prove eternal. God blessed their partnership together with a beautiful family, and nothing meant more to Andres than being a husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by three daughters, Cassandra, Ariana, Joclynn Alva; two sons, Alexander, Andres III Alva; and two grandchildren, Kehlani Love and Eric Ambroce Krupalla, who were the light of his life.

Andres also carried within his heart the memory of his beloved son Eric Anthony Alva who passed away on October 15, 2020. Not a day went by that he didn’t hold him close in spirit. His strength, tenderness, and commitment to his family were evident in everything he did, and his children and grandchildren will continue to feel the imprint of his love.

A man of many joys, Andres loved all sports—but he was especially proud to be a die-hard Houston Astros fan. Whether he was cheering from the stands or from the comfort of home, his enthusiasm was infectious. His smile, his laughter, and his stories—always told with heart—will be missed dearly.

Andres will be remembered as a great, loving, and devoted father and grandfather, a man whose family truly was his world. His kindness, his steady presence, and his genuine love for others will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

His family invites all who knew and loved Andres to honor his memory and celebrate the life of a man whose love, loyalty, and spirit will never be forgotten.
