

Anne Brantley Snellgrove, known to most as “Mimi”, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 6, 2014 at the age of 95. Anne was born January 5, 1919 in Atlanta, GA. She was married to the love of her life, Gus, for 62 years before his death in 2005. She had many interests and loves but her family, animals and God were most important to her. She is survived by her children Bill Snellgrove and his wife Cheryl, Sally Nelson and her husband Dennis and Robert Snellgrove and his partner Tony, and sister Betty Boatwright. She had 5 grandchildren, Tricia Beachler and husband Mike, Scott Snellgrove and wife Jamie, Kimberly DeLaat and husband Kevin, David Nelson and wife Reid, Kelly Butrum and husband Grant as well as 14 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her constant companion, Shadow. She was preceded in death by her sister Jane Rees. Our special thanks go to her caregivers, Annette Hickman, Gwen Johnson, Carolyn Adams and Emma Taylor for their love and kindness. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive, on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in her memory to Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
