John Vindett Sr. went to be with his Lord on September 25, 2017. He was born on July 29, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Josephine and Anthony E. Vindett. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Vindett. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Charlene Vindett; three children, Anthony Vindett Jr., Michelle Beeson and husband Ronnie, Stephanie Vindett and wife Kelly McGee; three grandchildren, Kasie Collins and husband Johnny, Karrie Krause and husband Chris, Kourtney Martin and husband Brett; eight great grandchildren, Colton Ivy, Caden Ivy, Cameron Ivy, Leah McGrew, Noah Martin, Faith Krause, Taryn Krause, Melanie Beeson; three siblings, Philip Vindett and wife Sue, Teresa Pratka and husband Michael, Michael Dean and wife May Kin Ho; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM; and a funeral service Monday, October 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home; followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
