Antonio "Tony" Rivera

Antonio graduated from Aldine High School in 2018. Antonio worked as a car sales executive at Planet Ford Spring. He had a passion for soccer and music.

In June of 2022 he moved out of his mom's house to get his first apartment and start living life on his own. He was so happy when he got his 2009 Chevrolet Corvette, that he had to show it off with pride. Antonio worked hard, went out with friends, but nothing stopped him from making time for family.

All that came tumbling down on February 25, 2023 when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Ever since that day, he fought hard for life, never giving up and always staying positive and strong. In the 9 months of treatments, in and out of the hospital, the hardest were the 2 last months but he was never alone. Mom was always there by his side holding his hand. Family support was his favorite medicine, it's what gave him strength to push forward. Now that has come to an end, but he will always remain in our hearts.

He is survived by his parents, Cirinio and Roxana Rivera; stepfather, Edgar Alvarez; stepmother, Linda Bomatay; sisters, Stephanie, Jazmine, and Emily; nieces and nephew, Makaylah, Aandie, and Krystal; stepsister, Brandi Alvarado; maternal grandparents, Maria Magdalena and Edmundo Oswaldo Cruz; paternal grandparents, Victoria and Cirino Rivera; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Carlos Cruz Jr., Drew Matthew, Randall Moore, Hunter Imler, Christian Bland, Ernest Christian Hernandez, Tamarcus Miles, and T. Raymond Kellermann.

A visitation for Tony will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A burial committal will occur Monday, December 4, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park.
