Aris was born on April 13, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio to David and Letitia Martin. At the youthful age of seven, she moved with her family to Houston, Texas. Aris' early education was in the Alief Independent School District. She graduated from Alief Hastings High School in 1989. She furthered her education on a music (voice) scholarship at Texas A&M University, Commerce, Texas (now known as East Texas A&M University). She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, from the University of Phoenix (class of 2003).
Aris is preceded in death by her mother, Letitia Martin; grandmother Blanch Burns; and her aunt, Charlotte Ford. She leaves behind her only child, Aaryn Martin. She would go without or give everything she had if she thought that Aaryn wanted anything.
She also leaves to cherish her memory; her brother, Hashim Martin (Jasmine), Ocean Springs, MS; her father, David Martin (Denyse), Katy, TX; her extended family, Rick Alvarado, Galveston, TX; Kenny Alvarado (Evelyn), Galveston, TX; Brandi Ludwick (Mike), Katy, TX; her devoted cousins, Ruth Ann Ford (Ahmad); Deneen Ford, Derek Griffin (Alejandra), Houston, TX.
Aris had a passion for listening to R&B music and burning scented candles, along with long walks in the park. She also loved cooking and was a great cook (something she learned from her mother), and her favorite was grilling, especially Bar-B-Que. She was a strong-willed person and loved life.
Aris worked as a Billings Specialist for many doctors in the Houston Area.
