Arlene Vasquez Figueroa

Arlene V. Figueroa, 87, entered eternal rest on April 2, 2022. She was born in Edna, Texas on March 14, 1935 to Sacariaz & Mary A. Vasquez. Arlene was a strong and hardworking mother/father to her six children. She always helped anyone who needed help, and loved her family dearly. Arlene worked for the Blue Star Ointment Company while taking care of her mother, who was fighting cancer. She also worked as a home healthcare aide for many years. Arlene had an interest in fashion, enjoyed dancing and loved spending time with her family and friends. Arlene will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Her two sons precede Arlene in death: Mark Figueroa, Pete Figueroa; daughters in law: Mary Figueroa and Candyce Li. Sisters, Lillie and Frances Gonzalez; brother: David Vasquez; great grandson: Noah Dahling, and great great granddaughter: Analiyah Luna. Left to cherish her loving memory, daughters: Brenda Zapata-Garcia, Hilda Garcia, Linda Bravo, Christine Willis; son in laws: Robert Garcia, Valentine Garcia, Jose Bravo, Richard Willis; 15 grandchildren: Sonia, Joseph, Angela, Issac, Nicole, John Michael, Carlos, Valerie, Marco, Chrysti, Arlene, Erica, Becky, Clarissa, Joshua, and Justin; 19 great grandchildren: Eleanor, Vangie, Johnathan, Nicolas, Christian, Mariah, Iris, Nicanor, Daisy, Maya, Bella, Cristian, Gianna, Carlie, Elijah, Jordyn, Blake, Leah, Kayden, Jeremy; 2 great great grandchildren: Manuel and Nathaniel; along with numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Jose Lopez, Joshua Garcia, Justin Garcia, Isaac Figueroa, John-Michael Figueroa and Joseph Fachorn.

A special thank you to anyone who donates to the funeral fund and to all that came out to support the family at this difficult time.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 6pm-9pm with a rosary service beginning at 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 2:00pm. All services will take place at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park following the funeral service.
