

Aulton Woodrow Knotts, Jr. was born December 31, 1946 in Jonesboro, (Jackson Parrish), Louisiana to the late Aulton Woodrow Knotts, Sr. and Martha Caroline Walker. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Susie Morrow and Ruth Hornsby, brother Irvin Farmer. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Hicks Knotts, brothers Prentis Knotts of FL., E. M. Melton of OK, sisters Martha Knotts and Mel Gerry of Houston. Also his two step-daughters, Jennifer Soto and Miranda Williams. He also leaves his “Veteran Son” – Mike McDonald, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, a large, loving extended family, supportive friends and loyal and caring Veteran brothers.
Aulton (Woody) lived in Houston, TX. most of his life, having graduated from Cy Fair High School. He enlisted in the U. S. Army in September of 1965, attended basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and attended Signal Corp Training at Ft. Gordon, Georgia before his deployment to Vietnam, where he served in Combat duty as a member of the Signal Corp during the TET Offensive of 1967-1968. After his return from Vietnam he was stationed in Kitzingen, Germany for the remainder of his Army enlistment. After his Honorable Discharge from the U.S.Army in 1969, he attended the University of Houston, studying business.
Because of his expertise and incredible knowledge at any endeavor he pursued, he had successful careers in the areas of Pest Control, Lawn Care and Landscaping Management, Information Technology (IT)as well as Licensed Private Security Guard, among others.
Aulton came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as his personal Savior as a boy and he continued to grow in faith and knowledge of the Lord throughout his life. His faith was strong and became sight in the quiet hours of the morning, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 after a long battle with liver cancer as he quietly entered into the presence of the Lord.
