

Barbara Ann Richardson born on October 22, 1953, in Houston, Texas, to the late Eddie Sr. and Annie Mae Paul. She was a blessed with one daughter, Elmetrious who loved her mother dearly.
Barbara graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1973. She accepted the Lord into her heart at an early age, and her unwavering faith guided her throughout her life. Over the course of 30 years, she dedicated herself to her work at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where she became a cherished and valued employee.
A true servant of God, Barbara was a faithful member of Good Life Bible Fellowship Church for over 18 years, under the leadership of Pastor Floyd Johnson (deceased) and now Pastor Larry Flournoy. She served in various ministries, including Women’s Ministry, as Treasurer and a member of the Finance Team, and as a Sunday School teacher.
Barbara was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a gift for cooking, decorating, and creating beautiful flower arrangements. She also enjoyed watching foreign films that she loved for years!
Above all, Barbara had a heart of gold. She found joy in spending time with her family and was always generous with her love, support, and resources. Her deep affection for her sister Constance, as well as her grandchildren Krisalyn and Xavier, was evident to all who knew her.
On May 5, 2025, Barbara was called home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Annie Mae Paul, and her siblings: Eddie, Margaret, Floyd, Melvin, Anthony Ray, and Louis.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter Elmetrious (Khari), grandchildren Krisalyn and Xavier, her devoted sister Constance Holley, sister-in-law Clara Paul, first cousins Vickie Kesee and Elaine Stein, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and Good Life Bible Fellowship Church Family.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The funeral service will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The committal will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home & Cemetery North, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088.
