She loved to sew, crochet, do crafts, and loved being a devout Christian woman and example for her family and friends. She was born in Sylacauga Alabama October 21, 1943 to parents Terry Strawn and Imogene Strawn.
Belva was preceded in death by her late husband, Joe Lynn Sims; parents, Terry Strawn and Imogene Strawn; and brother, Terry Dorman Strawn.
She is survived by her three sons, Kevin Sims, Joel Sims, and Gregory Sims; five grandchildren;two great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Smith and Bernice Boyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in honor and remembrance of her at Brookside Funeral Home at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston Texas 77039 on Wednesday June 19, 2024. The visitation begins at 1:00 PM, with the ceremony at 2:30 PM. Followed by a graveside service immediately after.
