Beth, Dana, David, & Jeff.  We will never have neighbors like all of you.  We had so much fun being driveway trash while David & Jeff rode their big wheels & Ben yelled "car" so they would get their butts out of the street!  We remember the time that Ben decided to clean out the garage so he could fit his car in it & how proud he was of the accomplishment (we even have a picture of him standing in front of the garage after his car was inside).  One of our favorite memories of him was when he graciously offered to babysit our niece so we could go to the Country Peddler.  She was still potty training & messed in her pants.  Instead of ripping the pull up on the side Ben pulled it down & according to David & Jeff, it created quite a mess!!  Of course I'm sure that Ben cleaned it up but knowing Ben I doubt it was to our definition of cleaning it up!  And of course the time that one of the boys (I won't say who but he's the older) ran out of the house in his underwear while Ben followed him telling him to get back in the house.  Remember all our Liverpool games & playing flashlight tag through the windows?  And don't forget the bottle rocket that went through Curt's front window!  We so enjoyed having ya'll nearby & KNOWING you were there.  It was an honor to get to know Ben (and you too).  We will miss him dearly but yet because of the type of man he was we will always remember him with smiles & fun.  Ben is safe now & free from ALL the pain & frustration from ALS.  I bet even God laughed when he showed up at Heaven's gate.  We love you all.

Dear Beth, Dana, Dave & Jeff,
I don't know what else to say except that I'm so very sorry for your loss.  Ben has always been a hero of mine and have always been proud to call him my Godfather.  He will be missed.

Beth and Family---I am so sad to hear about Ben.  I have so many really great and funny memories of being around Ben and stories that have been repeated over again.  Sleeping with his hand in the White Castle bag, Saying "good-bye" to the Chili!  Ben brought a laugh into everyone's  life that knew him. I can't really ever remember any time he was sad-----Unless it had to do with the Bears. Those "Animal House" memories will live forever as well as the great memories of such a funny, happy man.  I am sure he is at peace and brightening up many in heaven.  I know what a wonderful person he was fortunate to be married to and my heart goes out to you and your children. Words seem so inadequate at a time like this.  Though he is gone from us, heaven has gained an angel with a crazy sense of humor.  I will miss my second big brother and will hold fond memories forever in my heart. He was an awesome man and friend.

It has been an honor and a privilege to  have known Ben. We met at the Cardiac Wellness Center at Memorial City Hospital. He joined the Mended Heart support chapter and became a visitor at the hospital to visit heart patients  until  his health caused him to give it up. I know he brought hope to those he visited and we will miss him. Thanks Ben for all you have done .

I love you all.  Dana and I have been best friends for 15 years now and you have been a second family to me.  Benj was such an amazing guy, always so positive.  I will always remember his laugh and him cheering for the Bears and White Soxs (although I will never understand it.  I mean really, the Bears? :)) I have such fond memories with all of you and your loss deeply saddens me.    I am always here if you need anything.

Beth, Deb and I wish to express our deepest condolences.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  We will always remember and appreciate the fun times we were able to share with Ben, and yourself.  We love you, and are here for you if you need anything.

To the family, I'm so thankful that I was able to spend time over the new year with you all. Benj's personality, caring and laughing, was always on display.

To all my Staton Family-I cannot express my sorrow for the loss of Benj. You all know he has been my dear, close friend for all of our sixty-two years together. He has been my hero on countless occasions, I will miss him dearly. He has always been there for me and I know I will never have a friend like him again. My entire family is praying for his soul and for all of y'all. I can hear his laugh as he reunites and tells his stories with Uncle Ben and Aunt Mary. God bless them.
