Mrs. Bernice G. Tristan

Bernice Tristan born March 23, 1939 in San Angelo TX to Cornelio and Lillie Guevara, passed away peacefully with family at her side on December 9, 2022 in Houston TX. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Augustin and their children, Teresa Jiménez (spouse, Amador) and Brandon Tristan (spouse, Claudia) and grandchildren, Alessandra Jimenez, Anthony Jimenez, Victoria Tristan, and Ricardo Tristan. In 1961, mom moved from San Angelo to Houston. She pursued and completed her nursing degree from Hermann Hospital Nursing School in 1964. Bernice began her career as an R.N. at Hermann Hospital and continued at Park Plaza Hospital. She then went into school nursing and worked as the Health Consultant for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Catholic School Office for many years. She retired from school nursing at Crespo Elementary School. Bernice was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

A visitation for Bernice will be held Monday, December 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A rosary service will occur Monday, December 19, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell St, Houston, TX 77007. A committal service will occur Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
