Beloved matriarch Bernice Wilson, 93, of Houston, Texas, passed away December 13, 2019. Bernice was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on Wednesday, June 2, 1926, but spent most of her childhood in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was married to Hollis Lloyd Wilson for 61 years, until his passing in 2006.
Bernice’s calling was taking care of others. She thrived as a loving homemaker for her husband and daughters, hit her stride in spoiling her grandchildren, and dedicated many years of her life to looking after her aging loved ones. Bernice was a long-time member at Lindale Church of Christ and passionately gave to many charitable causes.
She is survived by her daughters Dorothy Moreland and Debra King, their spouses, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Viewing will begin at 1:00 PM.
