Berta was born on October 20, 1947 in El Salvador, to parents Maria Elena Quijano and Antonio Andrade. In 1992, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she made a life for her family.
Berta is survived by her husband, Manuel Antonio Herrera, of Houston, TX; her son Boris Herrera and his wife Michelle Herrera, of Katy, TX; her daughter Zulma Webster and her husband Jerome Webster of Stafford, TX; and her grandchildren Mia, Alexia, and Jacob Webster and Alanna and David Herrera. She is preceded in death by her parents Antonio Andrade and Maria Elena Quijano, of San Salvador, El Salvador.
Berta was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother. She was a simple, quiet, hardworking woman. She enjoyed cooking for, and spending time with her family. Her family and friends will always remember her as a caring, giving, and kind person.
A funeral is scheduled for Berta on Friday, March 8, at 10 am at Chapel of Eternal Peace, Forest Park with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Berta’s life.
