Bessie M. Watson

Bessie M. Watson, 108, of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Faith Memorial Nursing Home in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on October 26, 1904 in Leith, Pennsylvania to Fredrick and Sadie Prinkey Humphreys.

Bessie was a typical homemaker, she loved to cook, bake, and did beautiful needlework. She and her husband traveled far and wide collecting antique glassware and Early American Antiques. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and sisters; her husband George in 1977, daughter Velma in 1959, daughter Audrey in 1990 and son George in 2003.

She is survived by one daughter Ruby Uhazie, of Houston, Texas and one sister Mrs. Freda Fox of South Connellsville, Pennsylvania. She was matriarch of six generations of family, one daughter Ruby Uhazie, 21 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, 79 great-great grandchildrem, 4 great, great,great grandsons and three great, great, great granddaughters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Advantage Howard Glendale Funeral Home, 1015 Federal Rd. Houston, Texas 77015. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the Advantage Howard Glendale Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery.
