Betty Marie Smith Gaudiano

Betty Marie Gibson Gaudiano, 85 entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her Houston residence. She was born on March 1, 1927 in Lynchburg, Virginia. Marie was a great wife, mother, grandmother and faithful member of Catholic Daughter-CDA No. 2258, Ladies of the Sacred Heart Society, Ladies of St. Joseph Society and the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Altar Society. She is reunited with her parents, Berry and Oina Bryant Smith; daughter, Sherry Lynne Vela; granddaughter, Shannon Dollens and several brothers and sisters. Marie leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband of 41 years, Anthony Gaudiano; son, Kenneth Gibson of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Joseph Gibson, Sumer Griffin, Shane Dollens, Anthony Gibson and Cody Gibson; two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2012 from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pat H. Foley & Company. She will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Betty Marie Gaudiano to Make-a-Wish Foundation, 1604 Bissonnet Street Houston, TX 77005.
