Betty Carolyn Posey Milner joined the glorious celebration going on in heaven on October 19, 2019 in Houston TX.

Betty was born, November 17, 1934 in Kingsville TX, to William Edwin Posey of Kyle TX and Belle Alene Byrd of Elgin, TX. She was a student at San Marcus Baptist Academy from 1949-1952. Many of her classmates still share a friendship today. She attended Victoria College from 1953-1954 and was voted Most Attractive and a Pirate Bell her freshman year. The following year she was honored as Homecoming Queen; Pirate Bell; President and Drill Captain of the Saberettes; Class Secretary/Treasurer; Program Chairman of the choir and the President of the Baptist Student Union. She had a passion for music just like her father. They enjoyed singing all types of music with the family including the ditties Edwin wrote. This legacy of music has now been passed down to her children and grandchildren. Betty was an active member of Sweet Adelines in Victoria, TX and the lead in a winning quartet, The Pic-A-Tunes. She joined the Houston chapter, under the direction of June Ahrens, who later became the catalyst that introduced Betty to the love of her life, Raymond Sidney Milner. They married in 1972 and their love for adventure began. They traveled to the country of Belize, settled on the island of Caye Caulker where they purchased land and created their own paradise, "Sonova Beach". Betty had a passion for accounting and chose a career in Banking. She was known to have had long lines of customers who chose to wait, just to get a smile and a kind word from her. She never met a stranger and brought the gift of joy to everyone.

Betty Milner was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Sid Milner, her parents, and sisters, Mrs. Kurt (Mary) Voss; Mrs. Will (Nancy) Lackey. She leaves behind Daughters, Mrs. Dawn Terry of LaGrange TX; Mrs. Neal (Darla) Ryden of Houston TX; Mrs. Barb Milner Harris of Bastrop TX; Mrs. Ed (Jan) James of Lakeway, TX; son, Mr. Doug Milner and wife Natalie of Kyle, TX; Grandchildren, Mrs. Dustin (Krystin) Hill; Mrs. Kyl (Chelsea) Waterwall; Ms. Makenzie Terry; Mr. Cody Ryden and wife Jennifer; Mr. Cole Ryden; Mr. Christopher Wredberg; Mr. Patrick Wredberg; Mr. Tim Wredberg and wife Chelsea; Mr. Greg Wredberg; Mr. Luke James and wife Kristin; Ms. Kelly James; Mrs. Taylor (Maddie Jo) Sole; Mr. Evan Milner; Great grandchildren, Kason Hill; Kennedy Hill; Avery Waterwall; Sophie Wredberg; Barrett Wredberg; Asher Davis; Sean Smotherman; Paden James; Finn James; Frances Rose Nilson and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. Soon to arrive Rylee Nicole Ryden and Nanny's had a sneak peek!

Betty was a God fearing woman with the faith to move mountains and an infectious smile that will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but truly, since she was three years old, she has been at the curb waiting, with her suitcase packed, for Jesus to come and get her...and He finally did!

The Milner family would like to express a special THANK YOU to the whole staff of Evergreen Cottages for their ongoing professional care and of course the love they daily gave to Betty and will forever be grateful.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Evergreen Cottages Bridgewater Cottage of Katy, Texas.
