Blake was a light to everyone who knew him. The cherished son of his mother and favorite person in the world, Terri King (Mark Moroney), and father Bill Heugel (Kim Heugel); a proud and loving brother to Bobby Heugel (Paige), Brad Heugel (Sorayda), and Brandon Heugel (Shannon); and a treasured uncle to his nieces and nephews, Alayna, Natalie, Brantley, Savannah, Branson, Wynter and Hazel, who he adored beyond measure. Blake was also deeply loved by his grandparents, Loretta “Gran” Adler (Bill), Pat Watts, Bill Heugel Sr. (Conni), Barbara Woods; nephew to Darren Woods (Steven Bryant), Cheri Wheeler (Mike), Julie Guthrie (Tom) and many cousins with whom he shared a lifetime of adventures, laughter, and the kind of mischievous memories only Blake could inspire. He is preceded in death by his grandfather and hero, Woody Woods; and step-grandfather, Joe Watts.
Blake lived his life with passion, humor, and a heart as big as his smile. He loved playing golf—always competitive, always playful, always on his own terms. He was happiest on the ski slopes, with a cocktail in hand, or surrounded by his family. His wit and humor, sometimes maddening but always unforgettable, had a way of filling a room and capturing hearts.
Blake was one of a kind—there wasn’t a soul he couldn’t charm or crowd he couldn’t entertain. His presence was magnetic, his love for family unwavering, and his laughter contagious. Though his time with us was far too short, his spirit will live on in the countless stories, memories, and love he leaves behind.
Blake will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments will remain forever in the hearts of those blessed to have shared life with him.
