Blasa Garcia Zepeda, age 91, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday September 8, 2019. Blasa was born in Houston, Texas on February 3, 1928 to Jose and Mercedes Garcia.
Blasa is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 62 years, Candelario Zepeda, and her daughter, Christina Zepeda Cruz. She is survived by her loving children; Ernest (Jovita) Zepeda, Rudy (Linda) Zepeda, Dolores (Gene) Salazar, and Elsa (Daniel) Rangel. Also left to cherish her precious memory are her siblings, son-in-law; Ismael Cruz, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A small visitation will occur Friday, September 13, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Texas 77023. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7250 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77011. The interment will follow at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Salazar, Joseph Rangel, Jason Zepeda, Zachary Zepeda, Eric Cruz, Luis Lopez and Nasim Dada.
