Bobby Joe Foster, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bobby was 69 years old and was born August 1, 1950 to Robert Ray Foster and Celie Johnson Foster in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He served his Nation in the Army during the Vietnam War. Bobby met the love of his life, Linda Louise Drew, on New Year’s Eve 1979. They were married September 20, 1980 in Houston, Texas and remained inseparable. This year they would have celebrated 40 years of marriage. Their children include Jeffery, Leslie and Bobbie Joí. Bobby was a builder, a mechanic, concrete contractor, and owned and operated a septic installation and maintenance company. He was well respected by his employees and business associates. Bobby's greatest joy was a hot sunny day dipping his line in deep blue water filled with lots of unsuspecting bass. Bobby knew no stranger and was there to help family, friends and even a stranger who was in need. He was known by many names: as Dad, Daddy, Paw-Paw, Uncle Bobby, and Pop to many. He loved his family unconditionally.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Robert Ray & Celie Foster, sister Mary Ellen “Sissy” Felder, brother George Ra and great-grand daughter Harliee Rae James. Survivors include his wife Linda, sisters Bertha “Bert” Lessinger and Cheryl Foster, and the “Outlaws" Sonny Lessinger, Donna Foster and Stoney Felder. Sister-in-laws Paulette, Sherry, Sylvia (Larry), Barbara and Marylou. Brother-in-laws Bobby Dean and Johnny Drew. He is survived by his children Jeffery (Candi), Leslie and Bobbie Joí, grandchildren: Rebecca, Cody, Kymberlee, Thomas, Kyle, and Landon. Great-granddaughter: Fayee. Many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
