She was born in Houston, Texas, on July 12, 1945, daughter of Claude and Edrie Burkett. She is survived by her two daughter's Nikki Blake and Terri Burnett. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Tasha Blake, Taylor Anderson, Cassidy Blake, Hunter Blake, and Logan Blake. Great-grand children Brooklyn Conner, Brantley Conner, Devan Anderson, Bowen Lucas, Ava Wardell, and Kinlee McNamara. Seven siblings their spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol graduated from Galena Park High School in 1964 and then went on to attend San Jacinto College from 1964-1965. While attending college she met her late husband E.C. Burnett in April 1965 and the couple got married on October 16, 1965. The couple were married for 33 years. Carol was employed with Harris County Sheriff’s Office as a secretary for Captain Dhorieng from 1994-2006.
Carol had a passion for playing softball while attending high school, taking pictures of her grandchildren, going to the Houston Zoo and dancing with E.C Burnett. Carol always donated to these charities. Purple Heart, Toys for Tots, St. Jude’s and Children’s Miracle Network. Mrs. Carol was extremely loved and will be very missed and never forgotten.
