I have just learned of Carter's death and extend my condolences to your family.

Several generations ago a couple of my female ancestors (Shaw) married a couple of Carter's "Blake" ancestors and are all now buried in the Bradford, Il cemetery.

I have dug up some of that family history and placed in on an Internet site and would be glad to share it if you will send me an e-mail note to:

Both my wife and I are from Bradford and were a few years ahead of Carter and his brother, Bill.  We also knew Carter's parents, Wayne (Lefty) and LaVaughn.

Darlene and kids, we are sending our deepest sympathies for your loss.  We have many fond memories of  Carter, always teasing us girls at Christmas get togethers, and taking our dolls away from us just to get a rise out of us.  My husband also has very fond memories of Carter being his favorite bus driver.  Sure wish family got together like we use to.  May God help you through this difficult time.  Heaven certainly gained a special angel.  God Bless.

Carter was a long time friend and professional mentor of mine. A smart, witty man and he had a lot of patience with me learning the healthcare supply chain field. Carter was a dedicated, honest and hard working boss/mentor and I was blessed to have his tutelage and honored to call him friend. God Bless Carter and prayers are being offered for Carter, Darlene and their wonderful family. He will be missed by many.  Peace Carter.
