Catherine Johnson Alsup

She was born on December 4th, 1931, in Mobile, Alabama to George and Henrietta Johnson. Cathy, “Meme”, had a giving heart and she treasured her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece and friends. She embraced every moment she spent with them. Catherine was surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter as she passed peacefully and went home to be with the Lord.

We can always find comfort that she did it “Her” way until her last breath.

Catherine married her soulmate, Michael Alsup on June 1, 1950 in Las Vegas. She is survived by her son, Frank of Katy, Texas, son Joe and wife Lutz, grandson Christopher, daughter Cathy Faseler, granddaughter Jennifer, great grandsons Jacob and Brady, and grandson Jason and wife Lisa. Great grandchildren Jaley, Shelby and Kolby. Catherine also leaves her niece Linda Gravenstein and husband Ray, daughter Megan who she loved like her own children, and sister Inez Miller of Biloxi.

She leaves a lot of special friends that meant the world to her.

Meme, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest In Peace.

A viewing will be held at 1:00pm on Friday May 6, 2022 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road Houston, Texas. A memorial service and burial will follow at 2:00pm there.
