Clarence Lenz died on Monday, June 18 in Houston, TX at the age of 95. Clarence was born and raised in Laverne, TX. He grew up and worked on his parent’s peanut farm at an early age before enlisting in the U.S. Army. In the Army, he was a dual Bronze Star recipient from his service in World War II. When coming home from the war, he met the love of his life, Mildred Lenz, after he made a great catch in baseball game he was playing in caught her eye. Clarence and Mildred resided in San Antonio while Clarence worked as a machinist with Baker Oil Tools. He was then transferred to Spring, TX where Clarence enjoyed coaching little league baseball, bowling and even won a Gold Medal in the Senior Olympics, watching the Astros, and spending time with his family. Clarence is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred and daughter, Nancy. Clarence is survived by his son, Ted, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
