Cornelis B. Klink (Cor), 84, ofKaty, Texas, passed away at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, Texas on October 31, 2018. Funeral services will be held on November 16, 2018, at Memorial Oak Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079 at 2:00PM.
Cor was born in Semarang, Indonesia on June 1, 1934. He was repatriated with his family to the Netherlands after the Japanese occupation of Indonesia. He graduated from BK & TK Academy in Rotterdam, Netherlands with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Cor was married to Ida Handoko on July 20, 1987. He worked in Indonesia from 1976-1988 with IIAPCO/Maxus Energy, where he was the Senior Power Distribution Supervisor. He enjoyed training the Indonesian staff, as he was fluent in Indonesian. He was actively involved in the baseball program at the Jakarta International School. Cor's other hobbies included gardening with exotic plants and trees, fishing, cooking, and traveling. He also worked in the oil industry in Saudi Arabia and Texas. He especially enjoyed entertaining his friends with his superb cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Klink, of Katy, Texas; a brother, Franz, of the Netherlands; several brothers and sisters-in-law in the USA and Indonesia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jan and Christian Eugenie Flor, and his brothers, Jan Jr. and Joseph of the Netherlands.
