Daniel enlisted in the Army, where he became part of Special Operations and later part of the National Honor Guard. Daniel was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. Later in life, Daniel enjoyed spending lots of time with his wife and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward Lee and his brother, Robert Richard “Dick" O’Brien. Daniel is survived by his mother, Eloise Johnson O’Brien, wife, Marian Scott O’Brien, son Richard Lee ”Rick” O’Brien, daughter Dana Louise Smith, daughter Denise Lynn Breaux, step daughter Tina Bishop, and several grandchildren and great grand children.
