Pastor Danny Smith was born June 16, 1946, to the late Irene Jones and Sylvester Smith in Stark County, Massillon, Ohio. After graduating high school, he served his country honorably from 1966 – 1968, in the U.S. Army, fighting in Vietnam. He was an accomplished musician & singer, playing in many bands as a guitarist & singer. He ultimately dedicated his talent to serving God. Pastor Danny Smith accepted Christ while serving in the military and later became an ordained minister & pastor. He spent his life as a follower of Christ. He was passionate about music, having worked with great artists like the Ohio Players and the O’Jays of Canton, OH, and was even recruited by Archie Bell & the Drells of Houston, TX. He passed on the opportunity, prioritizing his family. After he moved his first wife and two children to SE Texas in 1976, he used his talents to be a blessing to the Body of Christ instead. In 1980, he began a new marriage journey with second wife Cynthia, which lasted 43 years.
Pastor Danny & his late wife, Pastor Cynthia were called to ministry while under the leadership of Apostle R.C. Williams where they were licensed and ordained as elders.
