David Martinez, the youngest of ten children, born in Houston, Texas, passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Martinez, his mother, Catalina Martinez, and his brothers, Joel & Carlos Martinez.
David lived a life defined by simplicity, humor, and a deep love for music and family. As a young man, he worked at IAH Airport, and in his later years, he devoted much of his time to his passion for music. Though not formally trained, David had a natural ear for rock and roll and expressed himself as a drummer. He found great joy in attending concerts, where his love for live music was undeniable.
David is survived by his daughter, Vanessa, who shares his musical talent as a drummer. Though they were separated for many years, fate brought them back together through an Ancestry search. David welcomed her into his life with open arms, cherishing the time they shared together.
David will be remembered by his family for his warm spirit and sense of humor, which he carried with him until his final days. He treasured visits from loved ones, always ready to laugh, joke, and show how much he cared. He was also known for being a simple man who took pride in keeping his surroundings neat and orderly.
David is survived by his brothers Tony, Abel, and Felix, and his sisters Elizabeth, Rachel, Esther, and Yolanda, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May he rest in peace, reunited in heaven with his beloved parents and brothers.
