David Allen Meeler

David, fondly known as Dave, was born to Richard and Marie Meeler, on March 19th, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a retired Veteran of The United States Air Force, Dave was a devoted and loving Husband, Brother, Dad, and Poppop. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making people laugh. He was dedicated to his Christian faith and a member of the Bear Creek Church community. On Saturday, December 21st, 2024, Dave was called to go home and be with the Lord in Heaven for eternity. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Gloria, his children Joshua (Gayle), Crystal (Bobby), and Brandi (Sam). He is also survived by his four beautiful grandchildren Evelyn, Sarah, Jacob and Kayla along with his beloved sister Sondra and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Marie, and siblings Ricky and Karen. Dave will always be remembered for his profound love for the Lord and his family. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will always be with us.

Dave’s favorite bible verse was Joshua 24:15 “...As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

To honor Dave’s memory, a visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor David Welch of Bear Creek Church, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
