Dimple was born at home in the small town of Chita located in Trinity County, Texas on July 1st, 1940. She was one of six children born to her parents, Wilsie and Betty Vickery.
In December 1957, after a whirlwind courtship, Dimple took a Greyhound bus from Houston, Texas to San Diego, California to marry the love of her life, Kenneth Roberts, who was serving in the U.S Navy. They were married December 7th, 1957.
Dimple loved her family. She loved traveling, playing a few slot machines, and bowling. Dimple bowled the majority of her life in several leagues and in tournaments throughout the state. For the past 20 years, she bowled with the "Old Tymers Seniors League" at Max Bowl North in Humble. She and Kenneth had just returned from a spontaneous trip to Las Vegas the week before she passed.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Roberts; her son, Kenny Roberts and wife, Tracy; her daughters, Debbie Kizer and husband, Keith “Scooter”, and Terri Roberts; five grandchildren, Rocky Roberts, Lexie Roberts, Kendra Kizer, Austin Kizer and wife, Devon, and Kendall Kizer; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Dimple is preceded in death by her parents, Wilsie and Betty Vickery; brothers, Billy Vickery, Richard Vickery, and Robert Vickery; sisters, Doris Matthews and Stella Morton.
