Dolores Lopez Martinez was born July 11, 1924 and passed away peacefully on October 12, 2020 with her daughters at her bedside in Meadows Place, Texas. Dolores was born in Kemp, Texas. She was a loving mother to her five children and devoted wife to her husband, Melesio V. Martinez of 60 years; his widow for 19 years. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father Rosendo Lopez and Petra Tovar, sons Melesio Martinez, Jr. and Ruben Martinez; granddaughter Cynthia Hyler and great grandson Luis Pulido, Jr.
Dolores is survived by her 3 daughters Minerva Martinez, Elva Cisneros, Hortensia Stripling and son-in-law Travis Stripling; 8 grandchildren Thomas Cisneros IV, Daniel Perez, Lisa Martinez-Nicholas, Joey Martinez, Dolores Pulido, Jeffrey Martinez, Melessa Martinez-Palacios, Michael Martinez; 8 great grandchildren Blake Cisneros, Brody Cisneros, Hunter Martinez, Lauren B. Garay, Charles D. Nicholas, Jr. Taelor Martinez, Riley Martinez and Abigail Pulido; and 4 great-great grand children Isabella Garay, Anastasia Garay, Silas Wamsley-Nicholas and Priscilla Harden.
Dolores Martinez was a kind, beautiful and dignified lady who was well respected by her family, relatives and friends. She was a wife and also worked helping her husband run their own business in Karnes City, Texas where they raised their five children. She will forever be remembered for her quiet and graceful demeanor.
