Donald Baldwin

Donald Ray Baldwin, born in February of 1947 in Liberty Texas to Franklin “Billy” Baldwin and Ethel Lee Baldwin.  At an early age he accepted the Lord and worshiped with his family at Trinity Valley Missionary Baptist Church.  Donald graduated at the top of his class from both West Liberty High School and Prairie View A & M University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. In May of 1967, Donald married his high school sweetheart, Juanita Pratt.  To this union 3 children were born, Penney, Cheryl and Troy.  He and his wife raised their family in Houston.  Donald devoted over 30 years of service to Exxon Chemical, where he established numerous life-long friendships.  After retiring, Donald enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking and just spending time with family and friends.  He also returned to Trinity Valley Missionary Baptist Church to serve in various capacities including becoming a Deacon, following in the footsteps of his father and brother. Donald is preceded in death by his Wife - Juanita Pratt Baldwin; Parents - Billy and Ethel Baldwin; Brothers - Franklin, Marvin and Gary; Sister – Eunice Dixon; Nephews – Todd Baldwin and Carl Jolivette.  He leaves to cherish many memories: Sister – Linda Lefall (James); Daughters – Penney Charles (Terry); Cheryl Baldwin; Son – Troy Baldwin (Cynthia); Grandchildren - Briana Sherman, Kennedy Baldwin and Matthew Donald Baldwin; Companion and friend – Bonnie Herman; Godson - Trent Derouen & a host of  family members & close friends. The services will take place at St Andrews UMC,  6235 Maybell St, Houston, Tx 77091.  Viewing, Saturday, Aug 31 from 9 – 10:45 am followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Reverend Dr Audrey Sanders will officiate. The burial has been entrusted to Paradise North Cemetery, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, Tx 77088.
