
Donna Melinda Malinowski, 56, of Houston, Texas, passed away at home March 23, 2013. Born January 3, 1957 to Dominic and Anita Malinowski, she graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1980, served as Teacher and Director of the Center for the Retarded for 20 years and taught Life Skills in the Cypress Fairbanks School District for the last 11 years. Her life is a testament to her immense love for children and her dedication to those who face special challenges. Donna’s family and friends meant the world to her, and she found much joy and comfort in sharing life with the pets she so adored.
Preceded in death by her parents, Donna is survived by her sister, Karen Diane Bishop and husband, Craig Bishop, her godsons Kyle and Daniel Mitchell, goddaughter Cendy Duch, loving caregivers and dear friend, Carolyn Coffelt. Also left behind is Donna’s devoted companion, her beloved golden retriever, Cam.
The family will receive friends from 7:00pm until 9:00pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas 77055.
