Donna was born on November 13, 1929 in Reading Michigan, and from the very beginning, she carried a quiet strength and a gentle heart. She pursued her calling in nursing, graduating in 1952 with her RN degree. For decades, she cared for others with compassion and skill, embodying the true spirit of a healer.
In 1955, Donna married her lifelong partner, Robert Noss. Together, they built a home that was more than just walls and a roof—it was a place of laughter, warmth, and unconditional love. Their marriage was a partnership of devotion and respect, and it became the foundation for the family they cherished.
Donna and Robert raised three children—Diane, Dawn, and Robert—who were the pride of her life. As the years passed, her family grew to include five grandchildren—Jason, Jamie, James, Jacob, and Brian—and nine great-grandchildren. Each new generation brought Donna joy beyond measure, and she delighted in being part of their lives, celebrating milestones, sharing wisdom, and offering the kind of love only a grandmother can give.
Beyond her devotion to family and nursing, Donna found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved tending to her roses, carefully nurturing each bloom until her garden was a reflection of her patience and care. She was also an avid card and game player, with a sharp mind and playful spirit. Whether it was bridge, hand and foot, mahjong, or any number of board games, Donna relished the camaraderie and laughter these moments brought. Her roses and her games were more than hobbies—they were expressions of her love for beauty, friendship, and togetherness.
Those who knew Donna will remember her not only for her dedication as a nurse and her devotion as a wife and mother, but also for her kindness, her patience, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. She had a gift for listening, for offering comfort, and for reminding us all of what truly matters: family, love, and faith.
Donna’s story is one of service, resilience, and love that spanned nearly a century. Though she has left this world, her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many patients and friends who were blessed by her presence.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her
beloved Robert, and that her spirit continues to guide and inspire them. Donna’s life was a testament to the power of love, and her memory will forever be a blessing.
